This tutorial will describe how
to build a typical 8' x 8' swim raft. As you will see,
it's not hard! The first thing you will need is the
"float" that will keep your raft from sinking.
Our Drag-on
float drums are tough and easy to install. You will
need four drums for the average weight of wood swim
rafts with 2x6 framing and 5/4 decking.

- 16 5/4" x 6' x 8' Red Cedar
Decking
- 8 2" x 6" x 8' PT
Southern Pine
- 1.5 lbs 16d Galv. Common Nails
- 2.0 lbs 10d Galv. Box Nails
- 4 Drag-on floats
- 1 Float Anchor Plate
- 1 Anchor
